I've spent quite a bit of time over the past few months praying about God's will for my life in both the short as well as the long term so I found this passage to be especially relevant. It's interesting because it led me to really think about my requests, and if I am truly willing to follow God's calling, regardless of what it entails or where it takes me. Take a few minutes to think about some of the things you've been praying about lately....are you ready to accept God's answer, even if it's not what you would like or expect?

Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord
saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?'
and I said, 'Here I am, send me'." (NIV)
saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?'
and I said, 'Here I am, send me'." (NIV)
Have you ever felt God leading you? Maybe God has moved you with His Spirit to invite someone to dinner, or to give a special offering, or to say a kind word. We must be ready to respond when God calls us. He may not speak with an audible voice, but He speaks through the Holy Spirit, His word, and other Christians.
Lord, help me to hear your calling and volunteer my heart.
