Question of the Day

The barren wife of a community leader, she suffered ridicule from his other wife who bore him several children. Pleading with God for a child, she lived up to her promise when he came by giving him to the local judge/priest to raise for God. She later bore five more children. Her praise of God set the standard for Mary when she found she was pregnant with Jesus.
