Wrestling in Prayer

When was the last time that you "wrestled in prayer"? Life is not always easy and there are times when we just have to talk things out with God, and it can be tough. No one ever said that being a Christian was always easy. Maybe there's something you've been avoiding facing? Wrestle it out with God and let him show you the way.

FYI: The surgery went without a hitch....it will be a few days until the swelling/pain abates but I thank God for being with me through the ordeal :-)

Wrestling in Prayer

Colossians 4:12 "Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured." (NIV)

Wrestling as a sport is hard work. Paul says Epaphras wrestled in prayer. Woah! Sometimes when we pray, we say a few expected words and make a few shopping-list requests. If your prayer life is running a little dry, try having a conversation with God instead of a stereotypical prayer.

Lord, please build in me patience, consistency, and persistence in my prayer life.
