Pay Attention!
"Then when the place is littered with corpses,
you will know that I am the Lord."
(Ezekiel 6:7, NLT)
you will know that I am the Lord."
(Ezekiel 6:7, NLT)
Sometimes it's easy to take advantage of God's grace and patience. We could think to ourselves that it doesn't matter if we sin sometimes because God is merciful. But pay close attention to lines like these! When God spoke of his people's sin, he announced terrible punishment. If you want to know who God is, you can do it two ways: You can know his blessings through obedience or you can know his wrath through defiance.
Father, help me to be obedient.
