One of God's Great "Don'ts"

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Well, it's that time of year again. The semester's winding down, the summer's coming, and parents are starting to pester you about finding that perfect resume builder internship, or full time job. Whether you've been sending out resumes for months, or you just started 2 weeks ago, it's getting to be that time of year where you really start to worry about the uncertainty of the future. The thing is that worrying not only doesn't change the situation, but it also pulls you away from God, as you aren't trusting him to work things out. The right opportunity is not always what you would like, but if you pray for God to open the door, and trust that he really does know what is best for you, in the long run you will not be disappointed. In spite of what may seem like failures and our own inadequacy (trust me, i've been there!), remember that God sees the big picture, and because of that there are times when he will say "wait" or "no." It's all about trust and patience.
