Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7

First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who've offered prayers, emails (and ecards) in support of me leading up to my exam this past wednesday. I'm sorry for the delay in sending this out, as I'm sure a lot of you have been wondering, but I've spent the last two days trying to catch up on sleep. The exam came and went as scheduled, and unfortunately, I did not pass. I'm not the first of my classmates to fail the exam this year, but it was still not something I expected and I'm still processing it. I said this last time I emailed most of you, but I'll say it again-- I know that my worth is not dependent on the results of any test, and I just thank God for his faithfulness in being with me through all of this.
I will have another opportunity to take the exam at the end of May, so I would appreciate your continued prayers and support as I prepare to embark on three months of intense preparation. People have remarked that I seem to be taking all of this pretty well, and I can honestly say that I am at peace with all of this. I know that God will give me the wisdom to make the right decisions this time around and I WILL pass this exam.
Jesus comes and lovingly says to us, in essence, "Sleep on now. That opportunity is lost forever and you can't change that. But get up, and let's go on to the next thing." In other words, let the past sleep, but let it sleep in the sweet embrace of Christ, and let us go on into the invincible future with Him. -- Oswald Chambers
