Rediscovering Holiness

Psalm 29:1-4, 10-11

(kjv, emphasis mine)

Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty,
give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name;
worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
The voice of the LORD is upon the waters:
the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful;
the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The LORD sitteth upon the flood;
yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.
The LORD will give strength unto his people;
the LORD will bless his people with peace.

Okay, so I know I'm supposed to be "on break" from these until after my prelim, but I came across the following article some time ago and wanted to share it with the rest of you. I know I've been pretty quiet, but I have been thinking about all of you! This is a busy time of year for those still in school, but I encourage you to take some time out to read this when you get a chance.

What is holiness? The message bible says the following:

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life--your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life--and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. ~Romans 12:1, msg

Take a few minutes to think about the past week. Are you really presenting yourself as a "living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God"? (kjv)
